Pomann Sound’s Max Conklin recently had the honor of mixing and designing the sound for GNC’s #CourageToChange campaign set to launch during the Super Bowl. Focusing on change and adversity, the campaign plays an important role in rebranding the iconic health retailer..
However, adversity became more than just a creative theme in this stunning campaign. Everyone agreed that the campaign looked and sounded incredible, but there was just one tiny problem: it was banned by the NFL for reasons far beyond the content of this beautiful spot.
About the #CourageToChange Campaign
Working with a team of talented creatives including Creative Director Jack Low, Frank Guzzone and Director Brent Harris, they devised an inspiring spot meant to debut during the Super Bowl. The ad in the campaign tells the inspiring stories of people who possess the courage to embrace a new future in the face of adversity. As a multimedia, storytelling campaign, sound was integral to the impact and clarity the ad.
The spot will still live out its full potential across a variety of channels both traditional, digital and, most likely, other high profile TV buys.
